Microsoft has recently paused the rollout of another pre-release version of Windows 11, following a similar action taken weeks ago with the Windows 11 24H2 update.
According to a recent update from Microsoft, the deployment of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26236 in the Canary Channel has been temporarily halted. The announcement was added to the original post for that build, stating that flights to the Canary Channel will resume shortly.
Windows 11 build 26236 was initially released to the Canary channel on June 12, featuring a new account manager in the Start menu, an update to the Microsoft Store, and various minor enhancements.
The reason for this pause seems to echo the previous situation with Windows 11 24H2, which was paused and later reissued without the problematic Recall feature. Enthusiasts were installing the builds to access the concealed Recall code, prompting Microsoft to act.
As part of the Insider Program, it’s anticipated that a new build will be released in the coming days, rather than the same build being re-released. It is expected that the upcoming builds will not contain the Recall code, aligning with Microsoft’s intentions.
