- Microsoft’s new Outlook Lite Android app is coming this month
- “Microsoft is working on a smaller and faster Outlook Lite app for Android. The software giant has detailed the app in its Microsoft 365 roadmap, where it describes Outlook Lite as ‘an Android app that brings the main benefits of Outlook in a smaller app size with fast performance for low-end devices on any network.’” READ MORE
- Xbox 360 games will no longer be part of Xbox Games with Gold in October
- “Microsoft is planning to remove Xbox 360 games from its monthly Games with Gold offer in October. The software maker has started emailing Xbox Live Gold subscribers to warn them of the change, noting that the company has ‘reached the limit of our ability to bring Xbox 360 games to the catalogue.’” READ MORE
- Microsoft just made this ‘huge change’ to its Windows 11 subsystem for Android
- “Microsoft has updated its Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) on Windows 11 with a “huge change to networking” – thanks to new functionality available in its Advanced Networking feature. Windows Subsystem for Android allows Windows 11 devices to run Android applications that are available in the Amazon Appstore.” READ MORE
- Apple announces new Lockdown Mode to fight the next Pegasus spyware
- “Apple will be offering a new ‘Lockdown Mode’ for its iPhones, iPads and Mac computers. It’s designed to fight hacking campaigns and targeted spyware like NSO Group’s Pegasus. Apple plans to release Lockdown Mode for free later this year and is making a public commitment to continue improving it.” READ MORE
- China tries to sensor what could be biggest data hack in history
- “On Monday, reports showed that a hacker only identified as ‘ChinaDan’ told members of the hacker site Breach Forums that he had acquired 23 terabytes of data on 1 billion Chinese citizens, according to Reuters. It’s data he’s willing to part with for the right price. How much is 1 billion people’s personal data worth? Apparently just 10 bitcoin, or approximately $200,000.” READ MORE

- “Calling it an ‘AI superpower,’ Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post that not only will it be used across Meta’s different products and services, but it will also be available on GitHub for anyone else to make use of.” READ MORE
