- “Microsoft has started rolling out the new Outlook for Windows client to testers in the Office Insiders Beta Channel. Microsoft announced on May 17 availability of the new Outlook for those with Microsoft 365/Office 365 business and education accounts.” READ MORE
- Microsoft announces general availability of Cloud for Sustainability
- “Last July, the tech giant announced the public preview of its Cloud for Sustainability, a SaaS solution that organizations can use to record, report, and reduce emissions across their enterprise. Now, Microsoft said it will be making the cloud bundle generally available on June 1.” READ MORE
- Hulu subscribers can score three months of PC Game Pass for free
- “Current Hulu subscribers will be able to get a free three-month subscription to PC Game Pass and can redeem this offer through July 23rd. Note that this promotion is valid only for PC Game Pass, not Game Pass Ultimate, and may only be redeemed by new Game Pass subscribers.” READ MORE
- iPhones can run malware while turned off, researchers discover
- “It’s possible to run malware on an iPhone that has been turned off. The reason this is possible comes down to how the Find My feature works. What the researchers found is that the Bluetooth chip firmware isn’t encrypted and requires no digital signing. It’s therefore possible to exploit the lack of security and run malicious firmware on the chip instead.” READ MORE
- FBI warns of scraping attacks targeting online checkout pages
- “The alert, sent Monday, states that as of January, the unidentified cyber attacker scraped credit card data from a business by injecting malicious PHP code into the business’ online checkout page. The attacker then sent the scaped data to a service that spoofed a legitimate card processing server.” READ MORE
- China cut tech exports to Russia after U.S.-led sanctions hit
- “Chinese technology exports to Russia plummeted in March after U.S.-led sanctions took effect, U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said Tuesday, calling it a sign of Beijing’s wariness about violating the trade prohibitions.” READ MORE
