Microsoft Azure Sentinel named a Visionary for SIEM

Research and advisory company Gartner recognized Microsoft Azure Sentinel as a “Visionary” for its completeness of vision in their most recent report: “2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).”¹

The Gartner Magic Quadrant for SIEM report focuses on a vendor’s completeness of vision and ability to execute when determining award winners.

Microsoft explains that “Azure Sentinel is built from the ground up to be completely cloud-native, and it enables security teams to focus on protecting their organizations instead of maintaining infrastructure. It collects, correlates, and analyzes data at cloud scale across the entire organization, resulting in higher efficiency and more effective security analytics.”²

Modernizing how businesses utilize technology is important for information security, especially in our ever-changing world. A noteworthy piece of information is that Azure Sentinel was released in 2019, meaning that the cloud-native SIEM received this recognition after being released only two years ago! It is the first of its kind in the industry and will continue to be a “Visionary” for cloud SIEM.
