WHO IS MATT?
Matt is an Infrastructure Engineer who has been working at Opal for about 9 months.
In his role, he assists clients with implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure to support the scalability of applications and services.

ABOUT MATT
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN YOUR CAREER?
I used to work as a field technician for a gas company and as an apprentice plumber in Tucson, Arizona. After a few years in the sun, I decided I wanted a desk job (and A/C 🙂). I’ve always loved computers, I just didn’t know I’d love working on them for a living.
FAVORITE OPAL PROJECT SO FAR?
My favorite Opal project was an Exchange 2010 server migration. After joining Opal, I spearheaded the project and took our client through to the finish line in Microsoft 365.
A PROJECT YOU HOPE TO WORK ON ONE DAY?
I hope to work on more server-to-Microsoft Azure migrations. I am trying to build out a more robust skillset, and server migrations to Azure interest me a lot.
FAVORITE TV SHOW?
My favorite TV show has to be either Parks and Recreation or The Office.
FAVORITE THING TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK?
I love basketball, camping, hiking, fishing, and just being outdoors overall. I’m also a huge college sports guy, GO BUCKEYES!
